in other words

I know I write and stuff, but sometimes the words from others mean more. Especially when they’re said about me. Wink. Check ‘em out to get a lil’ gist of what it’s like to work together. Plus…GIFs.

[coming back from maternity leave] “I’ve really missed you in the office. Your presence on this team is invaluable. Your thoughtfulness towards the work and understanding where the bar is set is not something everyone gets. And I know people look up to you as a bellwether for how to react. You help diffuse the stress. Even when you’re slammed, you don’t own it like a lot of the team. And I feel that gone when you’re not around. So, needless to say I’m extremely glad you’re jumping back in with our crazy crew.”

kaleigh wiese - founder of méldeen

I hired Maggie to create a voice for my business Méldeen. We knew Méldeen had personality and wanted the way we do business to be reflected clearly in our copy. We are offering a niche product and struggled with how to explain what we do, and what our unique process is. We had her do both web and print text -- she provided very organized paperwork for us to feel involved in the whole process. In the end, she saw something in Méldeen that she expressed more articulately than we could have done ourselves. I attest much of our recent success to her ability to communicate to our clients and potential clients. She is both innovative and thorough. Her attention to execute with detail and weed through our blubbering conversations was an attest to her excellent work and reliable work output. Would recommend her to all.”

jASON SICILIANO - GLOBAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR/VP / SQUARETRADE | FOUNDER OF MODERNCOPYWRITER.COM

You can't spell "copywriter" with "f.u.n." right? Right. Maggie is the most fun. She's one of those personalities that lights up a creative group. Even when you're on Round 235, Maggie finds something to laugh about, to be positive about. You have to love that. It makes work not work. Beyond fun, Maggie is also a fantastic copywriter. Before she was a creative she was on the account side, so she's got wicked organizational skills. She takes a brief, wrestles it down, figures out how the project can be great, and then attacks it with words. Doesn't matter if it's a video or a hang tag, Maggie writes and writes and writes until it's something she's proud of—and something everyone is proud of. She's like that. She doesn't like B+. She wants at least an A-. Maggie is pure awesome. Awesome copywriter. Awesome, awesome person. Can't do better than that!

STEVE CHIRHART - creative director, social media & copywriting / target creative

Maggie was such an invaluable part of our team, we literally hired her twice. When she first left Target Creative for a great opportunity at another shop, we hated to see her go. So of course, the minute we found out she’d be moving back to the area, we scooped her up before anyone else could. It was one of the easiest decisions we could make; easy because it’s so rare to find a writer like Maggie who puts so much passion into her work. She writes with feeling. She can make even the most cynical of personalities embrace all that’s good about a brand, because she becomes so personally invested in it herself. But, her enthusiasm for the creative is always counter-balanced by a clear-sighted adherence to the strategy grounding it all. Because of this, she delivers work that is as purposeful as it is creatively powerful, as motivating as it is emotionally stirring. She’s a true talent who has the chops to take on any project, of any type, of any scope. I would recommend Maggie without hesitation to anyone looking to raise their creative game…that is, if we don’t get the chance to hire her for a third stint at Target first.
